For two hours' worth of free professional development training, consider participating in Stewards of Children. The program is video-based, with facilitator-led discussion after each of two video segments. Participants receive an instructive workbook, a Professional Development certificate, and information that could save a child’s life or quality of life. The training is not fear-based but empowering, teaching adults to prevent, identify, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Bring your child (ages 3-5) and join our middle school students for a bilingual (English/Spanish) story, craft, refreshments and a copy of the storybook. Community School's Bilingual Storytime is a community service project put together by our oldest middle school Spanish students. Parents should plan to attend with their child(ren).
