HRV Community Conversations: Racial and Social Justice and Health

March 7, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Free

Join Healthy Roanoke Valley (HRV) for a lunchtime film screening and conversation about the role that race plays in the health of our community.

We know that inequities across race, class, and other divides are reflected in the health of our community. To build a healthier community, we need to have a clearer understanding of the history of race relations in Roanoke and how that history is being carried forward today.

We will screen a short video, followed by facilitated discussion around these topics. Lunch will be provided. Please register by March 5 to reserve your spot. Click here to register.

This event is funded by the DentaQuest Foundation, as part of HRV’s work towards oral health for all. If you have questions about the event, or would like to learn more about our work, please contact Brittany DeKnight at brittany@uwrv.org.
